Text Tiles

Today I finally got to get my cushion done in Text Tiles at Tamaki College. On Week 6, last term was the week we first began Text Tiles. Our Teacher: Mrs. Tuipulotu gave us a few papers to practice sewing. Over the past couple of weeks, we have learned how to thread the sewing machine, learn what each part does and even how to use it.

After a term of threading and sewing, we got into Term 3 knowing exactly what we were gonna do. Today (The Last Week) we got handed our fabric (Which was Ben 10) and we sewed the sides, filled in the cotton and finished our Ben 10 Cushions.

Thank you Mrs. Tuipulotu.

Day 2 - Maths Week - Mystery Photos

Today is the second day of Maths Week. Mystery Photos is the title on the paper we were given. Me, Pisi and Marika had to work on the problem because Trinity is not here today.
On the paper had 5 questions on it. Each question had a mystery photo on it and we as a group had to try guess the answer of the question we are asked. This was quite hard but then again we got to use our Chromebooks for help so that helped a lot. We were stuck especially on Question 2. It showed a picture of a Pocket Calculator and that was confusing because I have no idea that it existed. Everything was confusion because all the pictures were about old stuff. The information that was provided for us was very little too!

Samuel Morse
Math week has started and this week Room 4 Maths will be trying to solve some questions including Morse Code. Morse Code was created in 1820 by a group of engineers and physicists. Samuel Morse was one of those who created a signal code which was labelled after him.

Mrs Stone put us into 5 teams. In team 4 is Me,Pisirina,Marika and Trinity. Unfortunately Trinity was absent today and Marika was at rehearsals for this year's school production. A few pieces of paper were handed out with some questions on them, each question was worth a certain amount of money. The team with the most money gets a prize on Friday. By the way the money I am talking about isn't actually real money it is just this system Room 4 does to help the students behave more.

Here are the slides to the presentation we were given. Math's Week
