Maths Test - Term 4
This week was a week filled with tests, we had tests from Tuesday through to Thursday. On Wednesday we had a maths test. Its results showed that my strengths are in statistics and number knowledge. It shows that I have great test results. In the test my favourite types of questions were the graphed ones. I really liked the test because we had 40 minutes and that was just enough time for me to revise the test and do it to the best of my ability.

What makes a good leader?
What makes a good leader?
Are you a good leader? Some people are born leaders, others are made leaders but what makes a good leader. Cooperation, understanding and finally objectivity are all the things you need to be a good, strong leader. First of all, cooperation is a good skill to be a leader. For example in an orchestra each instrument plays a role to make the music better that’s why in a team everyone has an important role to play. Well of course teamwork is essential in a team
Secondly, understanding is an important characteristic to have. Understanding that everyone isn’t perfect, and that everyone’s strength can contribute to the team. Understanding if a situation or problem is hard for someone in your team that they are struggling and you should help them out.
Last of all objectivity, this means thinking at a situation from many different perspectives before jumping to conclusions. For example if you were in a escape room you would need everyone's perspectives to find clues and find your way out. Objectivity can be really useful in many ways because your thinking from different angles of a problem which makes things easier.
Overall, I think that these three things are the best way you can improve your leadership skills. Are you a good leader?

Immersion Assembly
Drama, Dancing and singing all term long. This term our topic is “Life’s a stage” it is all about what magic can happen on stage. Each of the team teachers present an act to show their students what they will be getting up to this term. Read more to find out what the team 5 teachers did.
Team 5 presented to us a dance to show we will be learning about different dances. Whaea Kelly, Mrs Stone, Ms Tapuke, Mrs Moala and Mrs Ilaoa all showed off their moves on the stage. Beginning with Lilo and Stitch songs and ended off with the Git Up challenge. It was truly entertaining to see our teachers step out of their comfort zone and see them bust a move.

What makes a good sibling?
What makes a good sibling?
Siblings, do you have good siblings? Well a good sibling is patient, caring and last but not least supportive. All our siblings are not perfect but these things are the last they could be to make life easier. To make sure you are a good sibling read on for examples to be a good brother/sister.Patience, is key in a family. Why? Because some of us have a young brother/sister who may need some patience to get along with. For example, teaching a younger sibling to ride a bike or read may be challenging because you've seen these 26 letters millions of times or cause you ride your bike everyday. But think from their perspective, these are their first times so they require some patience in these type of things.
Older siblings should be there for us when accidents happen, because kids can have a tough time dealing with difficult situations. For example if your brother/sister is getting bullied at school you can step in and ask the bully to back off your little sibling. Older siblings help a lot if there caring and not mean because that attitude can reflect on the younger ones in school.
Cheering on the sidelines or clapping once you’ve performed on stage are some ways you can be supportive towards your fellow siblings. Mocking and put-downs can hurt little/older siblings cause it hurts their self esteem. Thinking from there point of view, seeing family cheer you on gives you a warm feeling that you did your best and that they are proud. So if your sibling is doing something, especially something that makes them nervous be a good sibling and support them.
Overall these three things are what I think is the formula to being the best sibling you can be. What do you think? Are you a good sibling?
