Siblings, do you have good siblings? Well a good sibling is patient, caring and last but not least supportive. All our siblings are not perfect but these things are the last they could be to make life easier. To make sure you are a good sibling read on for examples to be a good brother/sister.

Patience, is key in a family. Why? Because some of us have a young brother/sister who may need some patience to get along with. For example, teaching a younger sibling to ride a bike or read may be challenging because you've seen these 26 letters millions of times or cause you ride your bike everyday. But think from their perspective, these are their first times so they require some patience in these type of things.

Older siblings should be there for us when accidents happen, because kids can have a tough time dealing with difficult situations. For example if your brother/sister is getting bullied at school you can step in and ask the bully to back off your little sibling. Older siblings help a lot if there caring and not mean because that attitude can reflect on the younger ones in school.

Cheering on the sidelines or clapping once you’ve performed on stage are some ways you can be supportive towards your fellow siblings. Mocking and put-downs can hurt little/older siblings cause it hurts their self esteem. Thinking from there point of view, seeing family cheer you on gives you a warm feeling that you did your best and that they are proud. So if your sibling is doing something, especially something that makes them nervous be a good sibling and support them.

Overall these three things are what I think is the formula to being the best sibling you can be. What do you think? Are you a good sibling?
